 Giltech Announces Appointment of Advisory Group to Develop Strategic Partnerships for its Healthcare Technology

Giltech was founded more than 25 years ago and is based in Ayr, Scotland. The Company has a long history of innovative product development in the biomaterials space. Giltech is the company behind pioneering products such as Sorbsan® and its technologies have been used to produce innovative products including Arglaes®. In particular, Giltech owns IP and knowhow relating to alginate foams and biodegradable phosphate polymers. Application areas include wound management, regenerative medicine and microbial control.
The Company has a proven track record of collaborating successfully with partner companies to support innovative new product development to the stage where a particular product can be launched or subjected to commercial evaluation. Giltech operates in-house development, engineering, computing and analytical facilities and manufactures Corglaes® , its proprietary biodegradable phosphate polymer, in-house, which helps protect its intellectual property in this area and provide on-going support to its commercial activities.
Giltech already has a number of existing commercial relationships with medical device companies in Europe and North America and is seeking to extend its commercial outreach by development of new strategic partnerships for R&D, novel product development and manufacturing.
